Rep. Hickernell recently helped dedicate the bridge spanning Shawnee Run on State Route 462 in the name of Herbert “Cubby” Spiese who was instrumental in persuading the Department of Transportation and his state representatives that the deteriorating bridge needed to be reconstructed.
